Our entire Mt. McSauba Crew would like to thank everyone for a fantastic 2026 Winter season at the ski hill! We are thankful to have been open from the middle of December all the way through mid March, only missing a couple days due to weather. From group lesson nights, to countless snow filled days and sunny weekends, we had a blast providing a great winter environment for everyone to enjoy!

***SEASON RENTALS*** Skis & boots can still be turned in this week at the lodge, private message us for details or questions.

Last night was lots of fun with exciting cardboard sled races, followed by our final night ski of the season. We put out the candles, and ended the night with our annual Winterfest Parade. The fun isn't over, as we are prepping the hill for one final day of fun at Mt. McSauba! Don't miss out on your last chance of the season to get in some ski runs, and join us for the Slush Cup!

The first night of our Winterfest Games is in the books, and we're on to the next! We are so thankful to everyone who came out to the ski hill last night for our downhill races. Both skiers and bump jumper participants had a great time, and we even had a couple snowboard racers as well! We will be posting full results and pictures very soon. However, it is time to turn our attention to Friday Cardboard Sled Races, and the ski hill is prepped and ready to race! The ski hill will be open again from 5:00-9:00, see you soon!

All of northern Michigan is covered in fresh snow, and we are ready to see you all on the ski slopes! Join us tomorrow for our first day of Winterfest Activities! The ski hill will be open from 5:00-9:00pm!

Welcome to the winter snow storm of the year! We've had a few people asking, and the ski hill will continue to be closed tonight for the safety of all skiers and our employees. Snow drifts at people's homes and on the roads are extremely dangerous.

All of the Charlevoix County and City staff are working extremely hard to clear the roads as best as they can, and we are grateful for their hard work. At this time, it is not safe to travel on the roads, so we hope everyone stays inside and safe! The ski hill will be open again on Thursday for the start of our Winterfest Activites!

It's always a hard decision, but the ski hill will be closing today for the safety of our employees and local families. This winter storm is already hitting the area hard, and will continue throughout the day. Our ski hill mascot Willow is encouraging everyone to stay warm and safe, and we will see you soon at Mt. It's been a great winter season at the ski hill, and we are ready to finish off the season with lots of extra fun! Our Winterfest activities will be taking place next Thursday-Saturday, and there will be many different events for all ages & abilities!

Reminder that tonight is the last Friday group ski & snowboard lesson night of the season! Lots of fresh snow in the area which will create great skiing conditions, and the ski hill will be open from 5:00-9:00pm. We are so thankful to have amazing snowmaking equipment with many years of help from our friends at Nub's Nob! The weather has been back and forth for over a week, and we wouldn't be able to still have the current amount of snow on the hill without great snowmaking.

This morning was spent cleaning up the icy hill and getting it back into shape for skiing again. The ski hill will be open throughout the weekend, Thursday-Sunday, and then we will turn our attention to "Winterfest" activities for the following weekend. (full detailed schedule coming out tomorrow)

More natural snow is expected over the next couple days and should be the icing on top for great skiing conditions!

One of the most popular events every year is our annual Cardboard sled races, and we are happy to announce they will be taking place on Friday evening, March 20th!
**Remember the rules are cardboard, tape, and glue only**
**all ages are welcome....be creative with your sled**

We want to give everyone enough time to get their sleds ready, and there will be an official "Winterfest" schedule for all events coming out soon!
**(A few older events are making a return this year!)**

The ski hill will be open again on Thursday, so stay tuned for additional updates!
