League Update - one team has dropped out from participation this session. The league will move forward with 8 total teams this fall. 8 game regular season . All teams will qualify for playoffs .

Captains Meeting Recap

Start Date (week 1) - 9/13
# of Teams - 8
Regular Season Games - 8 (all teams will qualify for playoffs). 
Playoff Eligibility - Must play-in or attend at least 3 regular season games.

Important Rule Updates:

Additional Equipment at the Waist - Any additional equipment worn or hanging from a player's waist that can be pulled off by an opposing player will be considered an extension of the player's flag. If an opponent pulls off such equipment during a play, the ball carrier will be considered down at the spot where the equipment was removed.

Mercy Rule: Running game clock - If a team is leading by 35 or more points in the 2nd half, the mercy rule will take effect.
Once active, one minute will be removed from the clock immediately following each touchdown scored by the leading team.
This rule was implemented to help keep games moving and prevent extended periods of play in games that have effectively been decided.

The Schedule will be released on 9/8.

REMINDER - the captains meeting is this Sunday 10:00am @ Ninigret Park in Charlestown. It will be held at the pavilion next to the beach area. Anyone is welcome to come.
