Nearly 1 Year Later.
Itās officially been over a year since I accepted the opportunity to be a founding trainer(Now Head Trainer/Manager) for the 1st location of here in Charleston.
Nearly 2 years ago, I was a mess.
I was broke again.
I was in more debt again.
I was struggling with addiction again.
I was struggling with mental health again.
In my 3 years living in Charleston, Iāve moved 4 times, changed medications, made/lost friends, been emotionally heartbroken, and switched jobs 3 times. Driving Uber to make more money and replace my primary income after leaving Crunch in July of 2024. Oh did I forget to mention that I was in a hit and run? š
Iām not here saying that all of my 20ās have been horrible. Iāve had so many good memories, relationships, conversations and laughs along the way!
Going an unconventional route has given me a lot of life experience. I wonāt word vomit my various accolades.
Through the turbulent times, you need to have a foundation. Something youāre soley focused on along with varied interests in your personal life.
Boxing has become that for me. My background is in fitness and I havenāt lost that knowledge/skill. If anything itās been further enhanced.
I hadnāt been a trainer since 2022 and had not done boxing/kickboxing since 2021. So I did initially have to dust off my boots.
My skill level, health, strength and athleticism is now better than it ever has been.
I couldnāt have had this growth without my family, friends, trainers and mentors helping me along the way.
Iām excited to see what the following decade has in store for me.
