Behind every great season is a great support system. As we wrap up another great WV United season, we want to recognize the incredible families who opened their homes to our players this summer.

From sharing meals and celebrating wins to providing encouragement after tough days, your kindness gave our players a place where they could feel comfortable, supported, and focused on competing.

The relationships built over the past few months extend far beyond the field. Many of these players arrived as strangers and leave as part of your family, carrying memories and friendships they’ll take with them wherever soccer leads next.

Your generosity is a huge part of what makes the WV United experience so special. Thank you for investing in our players, our club, and our community. From everyone at WV United, thank you to our amazing host families. 💚⚽️⛰️

That’s a wrap on the 2026 USL League Two season. Our playoff run came to an end, but there’s so much to be proud of. Valley Division Champions. USL League Two Playoff Qualifiers. A season filled with unforgettable moments, incredible people, and a club that continues to grow.

Thank you to every player who wore the badge, our coaching staff, athletic trainers, team staff, host families, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who helped make this season possible. Thank you to our opponents throughout USL League Two for a competitive summer and to the league for another great season.

Most importantly, thank you to our supporters. Whether you packed Trace Fork, traveled to away matches, or followed every match from home, your passion and support meant everything to this club.

This season may be over, but our story isn’t. We’ll continue sharing memories from 2026 in the weeks ahead as we begin building toward an even bigger 2027.

Our 2026 season comes to an end with a 2-0 USL League Two Playoff defeat to Minneapolis City SC.

While today wasn’t the result we were hoping for, this group has plenty to be proud of. Valley Division Champions, a USL League Two Playoff appearance, and another successful season for West Virginia United.

Thank you to our players, coaches, staff, supporters, partners, and everyone who stood behind us all season long. Your passion and commitment helped make this year special.

This isn’t the ending we wanted, but it’s another step forward for our club. Thank you for being with us every step of the way. Stay tuned as we continue to celebrate this team and look ahead to what’s next⛰️⚽️

One more piece for the playoff push. Gabriel Rodriguez joins the WV United roster for the remainder of the 2026 season.

Originally from Cali, Colombia, Gabriel has built strong roots in West Virginia through his time at the University of Charleston and with WV United.

A former University of Charleston national champion and First Team All-American, Gabriel also brings professional experience from USL League One and Costa Rica.
