🚨 MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

We are bringing back our very own Charleston Youth Football, this will be known as CYAA Tackle & Flag Football League. Sign-Up’s will begin June 6th with a deadline of June 20th, the season will begin June 29th. This will not interfere with CYAA baseball and will start after they are done. We want all of our athletes to play everything and never have to choose! Also, working the youth regular season like this allows our HS/JH coaches and players to help with the league. Flag football is for 3rd and 4th grade. Tackle football is for 5th and 6th grade. It is our goal to have enough to bring back the old CYAA football teams (red, green, yellow, etc). All contact information for the league is listed below.

Flag Football Gamday-Tuesday Evenings
Season runs from June 29th-August 11th

🚨ATTENTION PLAYERS AND PARENTS🚨
2 major announcements…

•Players- We will have our last spring work days on May 12th, 13th, and 14th from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. These are a continuation of our out of season spring work. Please be there if able. These days will help us heading into summer. Also on May 14th we will have an end of the year BBQ for our guys after our workout.

•Parents- We will be having a parent meeting on May 28th from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM. This is to inform all parents of the summer activities and the expectations of the program.

Information regarding the Lift-A-Thon
Our athletes will be collecting donations, we will track those donations. Our athletes will then collect those donations. If you are sponsoring an athlete you are welcome to come watch during their scheduled lift time of the event. Video evidence will be provided for other sponsors unable to attend. Lift-A-Thon is set for May 28th.

This week we will have our out of season football on Friday morning, 10:00-11:30 AM. This is for our band guys to make it to their practice at noon for the Dogwood Azalea Festival. We had a great turnout last Friday evening. Everyone be at the fieldhouse by 9:45 AM. Then it’s time for a fun weekend at the festival!

It was a busy weekend for our Bluejays. We had guys volunteering all over the community, working at Shining Light Outreach Center and The McCutchen Theatre yesterday and then again today at Rowling-Moxley Ag. As always The Scoop Ice Cream Shoppe LLC provided us a great lunch to power us through.

We are always thankful for those that allow us to do these types of projects. Also, we have a great group of young men who want to be a part of their community and spend their free time helping build it up. They do all of this while playing baseball, running track, playing AAU basketball on the weekends, and making it to our football days when we have them. We always want to say that kids have changed, they won’t do this, they won’t do that, they’ve lost respect and manners…but that’s not the case in our community and our kids. These guys believe in Charleston, and they want to see it thrive.

We will have out of season work this Friday 4/10 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the football field. We had a great turnout last time but this is more optimal for everybody to make it because of track, baseball, and AAU basketball. We are ready for some football! 🏈
