Three times silver bracket finalists.
A lot of people will look at that and see three runner-up finishes.
I see something different.
I see a group of boys who have grown tremendously over the last several months.
I see players who are more confident than they were on Day 1. Players who learned to handle failure, celebrate teammates, battle through tough innings, and compete when things didn’t go their way. I see boys who became a team.
Of course we wanted that championship. We were close. Three times close.
But youth sports aren’t ultimately about the trophy. They’re about growth. They’re about teaching kids how to work hard, be accountable, support each other, and keep showing up when things get difficult.
This team did that.
As a coach, it’s easy to get caught up in wins and losses. But when I look back on this season, what I’ll remember most isn’t the final scores. I’ll remember the improvement. The laughs. The dugout celebrations. The friendships. The moments when these boys believed in themselves and each other.
I’m incredibly proud of every player who put on a Beastie Boyz jersey this season. Thank you for trusting us as coaches and for giving everything you had every time you stepped on the field.
Parents, thank you for your support and commitment all season long. None of this happens without you.
The season may not have ended with the trophy we wanted, but it absolutely ended with something special.
We’ve got a great group of young men, and I can’t wait to see how much more they grow this fall.
The best is still ahead of us!
