It's tough seeing Viper 640 team The Wild Hogs ( #159) narrowly miss a podium spot at the 2015 EFG Winter Cup, losing the tie breaker to the luck of the Irish (Viper #234).

Yes... I've got - especially being here in the north east with all this snow - and it's obviously clear I'm not the linchpin to their consistency or success story.

Go get 'em Hogs and the rest of the Larchmont team down in the Grove.

Here's the Shields' Class "Masthead" with an awesomely kichy title "Shields 50 Was Nifty!". Com, skipper of Shield's #23 Rascal - along with Kurt, Matthew, Maura and the famous Chad Corning - were the national champs at this marquis 50th Nationals Regatta, and Com wrote up a great "regatta report" slash historical recap at the link.

It's a great piece... I'm not biased.

And... Not a big deal, but yours truly also has a bylined article in there. Shout out to our hot shot team on #183 Alice w/ Andrew on the stick, Ward, Michael O'Connor, and Dual - finishing 7th. Truth be told... we saw Rascal behind us a number of times on the race course... .

Tragic developments for the future of sailing in downtown Manhattan.... the team is going to have to find something new to do on Wednesday nights.

While it's understandable how attractive this deep water marina and associated slips can be to mega yacht owners wanting access directly to Manhattan, it's depressing to think how many people are going to lose access to the waterfront. Scuttlebutt stated there are near 900+ members, and this club has done an incredible job at lowering the barriers to get into this awesome sport we are so passionate about. Those without the means/access to boats, and others who were new to the sport, all understand what a profound impact this will have on the sailing community in the Tri-State and New England regions.
