It is with mixed emotions to announce that I will no longer be running trips here in MD. My family and I have thought long and hard about this and we’ve decided to move to South Carolina.
I’m incredibly proud of what we were able to accomplish with Redbeard’s Charters. We not only taught people how to fish but to respect the resource. From watching young kids catch their first fish to seasoned anglers landing a new PB, I’ve enjoy it all, immensely.
I took great pride in people entrusting me with their hard earned money to put them on a trip of a lifetime and I never took that lightly. I prided myself on going the extra mile to put clients on the right bite. We offered more than filets. We offered a total experience. Taking time to teach and pass down knowledge, arming anglers with the skills needed to not only become better anglers but stewards of this great resource that I care so deeply about.
I’ve been fortunate to have the best clients on the bay. Most of whom I now call friends and communicate with daily. Few people understand the deep connection you can develop with people out on the water. It’s the ultimate unifier. Nothing matters out there but the next bite.
I will miss this vast estuary and all the fisheries that exist within it but most of, I will miss the people that this estuary has brought into my life.
My two boys are growing older and I’m excited to spend more time with them on the water, making memories. Please keep in touch. This journey is just beginning!
