IMPORTANT: Please contact us before showing up to make sure class is held when you're intending to be there. Aikido is a traditional martial art that incorporates disciplined physical and mental training. Aikido incorporates self defense at the highest level utilizing joint locks, submissions, control techniques and throws, as well as the use of weapons, including the “jo” (staff) and “bokken” (wo

oden sword) to emphasize body movement. While the training is intense and physical, there is no sparring or fighting in Aikido. Students work cooperatively with each other to gain confidence and learning techniques by alternating the roles of attacker and defender during practice. Special offers are available including free first classes and a six week introductory course for beginners.
