A trademark can protect the thing customers actually remember.
Both matter, but they do very different jobs.
Patents can help with licensing, major retail conversations, and protecting something truly unique.
But they can also be expensive to enforce, easy to design around, and eventually expire.
A strong brand can last much longer.
