I’m typically very private about my personal life on social media but I would love for you all to meet my hero…my son Milo.
Last August (the day after Continuum’s 18th anniversary) Milo was diagnosed with kidney cancer. In fall of 2022 he had his left kidney & part of his right lung removed. He has also completed 28 weeks of chemotherapy, done several radiation appointments, as well as other tests, scans, biopsies, numerous medications and hospital visits. Needless to say, it has been the darkest and most difficult year of my family’s life. Fortunately, Milo is now 3 months post treatment and is currently cancer free!
One of the glimmers of hope for Milo during his treatment is being nominated for a Make-A-Wish. Milo’s wish to visit Disney World will be happening early next year! This gift has given Milo so much hope and also a positive outlook. Make-A-Wish is only able grant wishes through fundraising and donations. Knowing how much Milo’s wish will change his life, our family is fundraising for Make-A-Wish SC’s Trailblaze Challenge. My wife Maggie is going to hike 28.3 miles of the Foothills Trail in September. At the time of this post, we have raised $1,590 of our $2,500 goal. We are over halfway to our goal of raising what would be 1/3 of the average wish cost of $7,500. If you are able and so inclined the donation link is at the bottom. Please help us pay-it-forward so another family who has a child suffering can receive the amazing gift of a Make-A-Wish. They are truly life changing. Thank you for reading!
