We want to thank everyone for coming out today for the Bulldog Breakaway New Years 5K. I know I said this last time, but this group was one of the toughest we have ever had run...the conditions today were wet and challenging, but that didn't stop them from having a great time. Our overall winner was William Hughes of Charleston, SC with a time of 17:54. Our overall female winner was Jessica Wigington of Columbia, SC with a time of 20:01. Our overall runner-up was Gerry Schauer of Charleston, SC with a time of 19:15. Our female runner-up was Jennifer Lybrand of Columbia, SC with a time of 20:21. Our Master's Division winner was Stephen Hughes of Charleston, SC with a time of 24:17. Mark Berry was our Male Master's Division runner-up with a time of 27:33. Our Female Master's Division winner was Cindi Eck of Mt Pleasant with a time of 22:03 Our female Master's Divison runner-up was Katy Hanna of Charleston, SC with a time of 27:36. Our female junior division winner was Emmy Collins-Hanna witha time of 27:37. Our male junior division winner was Maxwell Berry with a time of 21:29. A special shoutout to our JR junior division winner Ari Harmelin of Greensboro, NC with a time of 38:41. We want to thank Timinginc for helping with our timing needs. Good morning BBR Family!! The New Year’s 5K will go on as scheduled this morning. We will only cancel if lightning is in the area. At this time, the forecast shows rain only, so we are planning to fire the gun at 8:00 AM. We will update the website shortly if the rain gets heavy and the course become unsafe. We will update through Facebook and email.

We will hold an abbreviated awards ceremony at the finish line for award winners.

This group was one of the toughest we have ever had run...the conditions today were windy and cold, but that didn't stop them from having a great time. Our overall winner was Jordan Trimyer of Hanahan, SC with a time of 18:40. Our overall female winner was Jennifer Justice of Charleston, SC with a time of 21:09. Our overall runner-up was George Doyle of Charleston, SC with a time of 18:40. Our female runner-up was Melissa Cunningham of Summerville, SC with a time of 21:29. Our Master's Division winner was Chris McDowell of New York, NY with a time of 21:47. Michael Massenet of Mt Pleasant, SC was our Male Master's Division runner-up with a time of 22:37. The Dog Days of Summer was a hot and humid race, but had a great group of runners and a good time was had by all. Spencer Evans of Mt Pleasant, SC won the event with a time of 17:38. Our runner-up was Ellis Spencer of Clover, SC with a time of 17:40. Erica Periard of Mt Pleasant, SC was our female winner with a time of 22:42. Our Female runner-up was Lexie Nay of Carrollton, KY with a time of 22:47. Our female Master's Division winner was Julie Anderson of Johns Island, SC with a time of 28:59. Our male Master's Division winner was Eduardo Martinez of Johns Island, SC with a time of 18:56. Our junior Division winner was Beau Shuford of Mt Pleasant, SC with a time of 22:23. It was an incredible 4th of July at the Firecracker 4 miler in Laurel Hill County Park. We will post some pics later this week but wanted to give a shout out to everyone who participated. Ross Jordan was our overall winner with 21:49. Runner-up was Daniel Gardner with a time of 22:23. Our overall female winner was Lorilynn Bloomer with a time of 26:11. Our female runner-up was Bianca Keller with a time of 26:46. Happy 4th of July!!
