I knew this was coming but I wasn't prepared for how hard it would be and how hard it hit me after the game last night.
Although I feel awful for you that you were kind of robbed of your senior year, your ability to always have a smile on your face, be a good teammate and look past many things even when I dont feel those things were shown to you at times, makes me proud that you're my boy.
I've enjoyed watching you grow. I've enjoyed your journey. I've enjoyed the good and I've enjoyed being there for you in the bad. I've enjoyed watching the bonds and brothers youve earned. I've always told you that you were better than me. I meant that more than just at football. I will always be yours and your sisters biggest fan. These memories will last a lifetime.
I'll miss the practices, games and travel. You telling me to "Be quiet Dad" when I cheer like a mad man. The hugs after games. The lead up to game time. The pump up talks and even some of the arguments. And most of all I'll miss what football did for our relationship. I know you're not done with the game but youth and high school is over and I've enjoyed every second of it and I've enjoyed being a part of yours and your teammates journeys. I love you kid and thank you!
