CHARLEROI FISHING CLUB INC.
RULES AND REGULATIONS – RESTATED 2025



Rules:
1. The Dam shall be called “The Charleroi Fishing Club”
2. Rules and regulations shall be posted at the dam, pavilion and surrounding area
3. Any revisions to these rules and regulations shall be posted at the dam, pavilion and surrounding area
4. No fishing two (2) weeks prior to the opening day of trout at the Club pond
5. Use of boats are not permitted
6. Club boat is to be locked at all times and only used for the best interests of the club operations
7. No swimming or wading is permitted
8. Guests permitted to fish under the following conditions
a. If of age, guest must have a current Pennsylvania fishing license or nonresident fishing license
b. Club members must accompany guest
c. An assessment of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per day per guest is required
d. All guest on Club property are at their own risk
e. Special occasions such as parties and reunions require approval from the
Board of Directors
9. Trespassers will be prosecuted according to Pennsylvania Law
10. Members shall have Membership Card visibly displayed while on the property
11. All members have the authority to ask to see any individual’s membership card
12. All rubbish is to be put into disposal cans
13. Comfort stations to be used
14. All children 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult member
15. Only members of good standing will be allowed to fish
16. All purchases for fish stocking and fertilizing shall be done by the Fish Committee, subject to the Board of Directors approval

Fishing Regulations:
1. Seasons, Sizes and Creel Limits Shall be Strictly Enforced

2. Trout additional regulations
a. Once your Daily Creel Limit shown above has been reached, you must
STOP fishing for that day
b. Catch and immediate release is permitted subject to the following conditions
i. Daily Creel Limit has not been met
ii. Artificial lures only (NO LIVE BAIT) constructed of metal, plastic, rubber or wood, or with flies or streamers constructed of natural or synthetic materials. All such lures may be used with spinning or fly-fishing gear
iii. Barbless hooks are recommended
iv. PowerBait dough and/or pellets are NOT being used
v. The trout is unharmed for release; if trout is harmed you must keep and count toward your Daily Creel Limit (reference 2.a. above)
c. Catch and immediate release is permitted for all other species
(non-trout) subject to the following conditions
i. Daily Creel Limit has not been met
ii. No trout may be killed or had in possession
iii. Fishing may be done with artificial lures, flies or streamers, natural bait, baitfish and fish bait. Spinning or fly-fishing gear may be used
iv. Fish is unharmed so that it survives and continues its existence in its natural environment
3. Violations of Rules and Regulations
a. Any member caught in violation of these rules and regulations are subject to a Trial Board Hearing by the Board of Directors to determine the extent of guilt
b. Member in violation must be notified by mail five (5) days before the
Trail Board Hearing
c. If found guilty
i. First offense – Member will not be permitted to fish for three (3) months during season
ii. Second offense – Member will forfeit all rights of the Club for one (1) year
iii. Third offense – Termination of membership

After 4/1/2025 a $25.00 late fee will be assessed

Club Opening day is March 22nd, at 8:00 AM

Kids day will be on Saturday, April 26th

Daily trout limit - 3 trout per angler, 6 trout per family
The fishing club will provide refreshments on opening day
* Members are responsible for collecting the guest $20.00 fees and providing the fees to the club treasurer. *
2025 Trout Stocking Schedule
First stocking - Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 8:00 am
Second Stocking - Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 8:00 am
Third Stocking - Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 8:00 am
(Kids Day) - Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 8:00 am

Information regarding any additional stockings or changes to the scheduled stockings will be posted at the dam pavilion and on our page.

2025 dues are due by April 1, 2025 dues are $100.00

payable by cash or check

Please mail the completed form below with payment to the address below. Make checks payable to the Charleroi Fishing Club, Inc. If you want to pay your dues in person, please provide the complete form with your payment to the club treasurer.
