Charlieđ
I wish I could start by telling you how Charlie is doing currently but I wouldnât know because he hasnât let me catch him for the last week and a half. Not even a bag of treats will do the trick. I guess one time with the saddle really put him over the edge!
Before Charlie could worry about being caught by his loving owners, he worried about WHEN those loving people would eventually come. Maybe he started out somewhere amazing, with land to run and horse friends to play with. But how did he end up in a kill pen from there?
By some miracle Charlie ended up here with us and now has his own room, a sassy girlfriend, someone to boss around, his special grain, his blankets and halters, and his permanent place on our farmâ¤ď¸
As of now, Charlie is not broke to ride but we are working on it! WellâŚ. we will resume his training when I can get a hand on his halter:) As of our first lesson together, Charlie did extremely well with the saddle and stood perfectly still to put it on. The only problem he has is weight on his back.
It may not be by the end of this summer but we have forever to go with this guy.đ
Special thanks to Bagaduce River Equine Rescue, Kelly, and Mary, for bringing this special boy to usđ
