Capped another Scots on the Rocks with 27 awesome competitors on the line. The discouraging Saturday forecast of light air evaporated before 6 to 8 knot northeasterlies that granted us 3 races for the afternoon. Oscillations provided some challenges, but that is what racing is about. Sunday saw really brisk winds out of the east and provided for the occasional downhill "sleigh ride". Awesome. Concurrently, we had 10 teams competing for the 2025 Carolinas District Championship. A great start to the day for our troops enjoying the annual Troop Appreciation Fishing Derby. Organized by a host of volunteers supporting the Columbia Troop Appreciation Foundation, Volunteer fishing guides and our guest troops meet the rising sun as they set out for prime striper fishing.

Like my wife and I, many of you have stepped up and donated to support the relief effort for victims of hurricane Helene's devastation and the victims of Milton may need us as well.
That said, we still have those in need of hospice support who may not receive it if we don't help. So here's the deal. If you still have "wiggle room" in your budget, please consider joining the Lake Murray Bombers team at the WCSC Hospice Regatta and kick in any amount you can afford. No amount is too small.
