Unfortunately, as our summer comes to a close, it's time to start to wrapping up Electralytes Beating the Heat: 2017. But, worry not! You can expect to see more fun bios of your favorite electralytes throughout the year! Today we introduce you to Nellie! Nellie is our favorite doe-eyed, derby-lovin dork and she's known for saying "dang" and "heck" way more than you ever thought humanly possible. If you didn't already know, Nellie hails from the glorious state of Kentucky and boi does she love it. This summer, however, Nel has been having WAY too much fun working in the props department of the Hangar Theater in Ithaca, NY, where her phrase for the past few weeks has been "yeeter skeeter" (I will be stealing that one). She apparently does real work there and has "insane hours", but it's hard to tell based on her Snapchat story because all we really see is her playing with shop doggos (her favorite being Mabel) or messing around with her friends. She has made lots of great connections this summer, including a few special ~connections~ with lots of boys. Some of them are "eh" and some are "pretty awesome", but overall, Nellie has decided that "boys r trash". Ithaca apparently has some great scenery, but not a lot of frisbee so Nel is excited to come back to the beautiful Chapel Thrill and hang with her friz buds again. A fun fact about Nellie is that she somehow ends up with holes on the inner thighs of all of her pants/leggings and is a little too obsessed with something she likes to call "Oreo soup", but we love her with all of our hearts and can't wait for her to come home :)

BREAKING NEWS: it's time for the next installment of Electralytes Beating the Heat, featuring Maggie! Marg is a rising sophomore and for some reason, she's kind of that person that everyone flocks to for a good time. Idk why cause tbh she's kind of the worst. I guess she can be kind of inclusive sometimes, which makes people feel welcome, but don't be fooled; she is suuuuuuper weird once you get to know her. She can do an irrational amount of push ups, has a pet deer, and there are over 32 YMCA logos in her room. I'm not saying she's not fun to hang out with, but just know that you've been warned. This summer, Maggie has been spending her time working with children, which is funny because she kind of acts exactly like a child all the time, which I'm sure creates a very weird work dynamic. When she's not working at the YMCA with tiny people, Margaret likes to...likes to.....oh who am I kidding? Maggie essentially lives at the Y. She's still rlly involved in her high school YMCA leaders club (where they call her "the dictator") and that is one of the only places you'll ever see her cry (photographic evidence below). With the obscene amount of confidence she often exudes, it's nice to occasionally experience the squishy, vulnerable side of her. Maggie thinks that model magic is an acceptable kitchen utensil and has a terrible Russian accent, but we love her anyways. 🙂

Gooooooood afternoon Electra followers! I know you’ve been waiting all weekend for the next edition of Electralytes Beating the Heat, so allow me to say congratulations! You made it! It’s here! Today we introduce you to Sandy. Sandra is a rising sophomore and is known for being the biggest, yet quietest savage ever. If you’re ever in a group with Sandy and you see her lips moving but can’t really hear what she’s saying, just know that you and the people around you were probably just roasted like a freakin pig. I sometimes will be sitting across the table from Sandy in the dining hall and will feel a mysterious and cold, yet spicy breeze which can only be recognized as Sandman’s genius mind composing incredible roasts, an action that emits a smoky puff of air from her nostrils. You see, I’m having trouble finding words to roast Sandy in this post because all she does is roast other people, not make a fool of herself like the rest of us. This summer, Sandy has been working on an organic vegetable farm in New Hampshire called Sun Moon Farm. You may think I just made that up, but you would be wrong. Sandman spends her days picking vegetables and weeds, building things, and playing with rocks on a mountain next to the farm. She is now “tan asf” and is clearly having an amazing time but we love and miss her very much and want her to come home 😕. ALL HAIL SANDRA THE SAVAGE ?

Happy Fresh Gale Friday and welcome to the next installment of Electralytes Beating the Heat, featuring Olivia! Liv is a rising junior and is known for coming super close to doing a spit take whenever she's around any of her friends because she literally laughs at anything. Seriously guys, if you have a joke or comment that is even remotely funny, tell it to Liv and she nearly experiences death by laughter. It's a real confidence booster. This summer, Liv has been out and about traveling the world and playing frisbee like the rest of us. She is on Rogue where she probably bids unnecessarily way too often, kind of like on Electra! Liv recently got back from studying abroad in Italy, but don't be fooled and ask her to speak to you in Italian because she really only knows like 4 words. Although, I guess she had a lot of cool adventures because, like most study abroad students, she finds a way to connect Italy to literally any conversation. For example, once I sent her an incredible meme that had literally nothing to do with Italy in any way, shape, or form, and her response was "RIP Italia". Like, ????? I guess???? Despite all of the crap we give her about that month she spent eating nothing but pasta and gelato, we love Liv and can't wait to see her do big things, especially improve on her Italian accent.
P.S. The pic on the left is actually Liv visiting Switzerland while studying abroad ?

Next up on Electralytes Beating the Heat: Caitlin! Caitlin is a rising junior and while you may think she leads a thrilling and adventure-filled life, she actually doesn't!! Caitlin spends her days either at the planetarium with the 732 other employees there who play frisbee, or she goes and drops pulls for her club frisbee team called Rogue. On Monday nights, she and her good pal Annie go to dinner at Piper's, a small deli where their friend Mary (to be featured later) works. Mary makes them a watery chocolate milkshake and then caitlin proceeds to debrief her weekend which was either filled with frisbee or the planetarium (typical). She may seem like a tough shell to crack, but once you get to know her, you'll see that really she's a soft and squishy marshmallow on the inside. Caitlin has an arsenal of dope memes and a cat that drools (featured below) and we love her despite all of her imperfections (the cat, not caitlin). :)
