This is the official page of Sykesville, Maryland's 11U Cyclones travel baseball team. Cyclones play in Division 1 of the Mid-Atlantic Baseball Association (MABA). We are excited for the 2018 season! This page will have information about our team, coaches and terrific sponsors! The team will begin practice this fall, and begin our Spring season in early April..

Our Central Maryland Cyclones 16U - 2023 took home the 🏆 in the Batten Down the Hatches 15/16U Gold Bracket on Sunday! The boys tied the championship game in the top of the 7th to force extras and won, 5-3! 🌪💙

Posted about the idea of youth coaches going through some sort of basic throwing mechanics course (should have said “class” since some didn’t seem to like the “course” idea).

For those who have followed for a while, you’ve seen me share these before. This checklist is definitely TMI for younger throwers but it for sure can be used to understand what goes into mechanics in general and I would focus on back leg, stride direction and front arm action for the younger ones. In my experience if they can get those few things down, you will see more accurate and stronger throws and have less complaining of sore arms.

Hope this helps those of you looking for the info.
