The next player we would like to honor for our Senior Spotlight is White Cross Elite 18 CD outside hitter, #12 Ellamarie Perel!
Ellamarie has been playing for WCE for 6 seasons! She was also an assistant coach for our 16u Boys and 14u Dave this past season and loved it. ( you know you have a coaching spot in the future!) Ellamarie is graduating from Cedar Ridge High School in Hillsborough, NC. She plans to attend East Carolina University as an NC Teaching Fellow and Alston Burke scholar to major in elementary education and become a teacher! She also plans to continue coaching and playing volleyball.
Age Ellamarie started playing volleyball: 11 years old
Favorite White Cross volleyball memory: Winning 2nd place in the gold bracket at the Queen City Classic during her 16u season.
Ellamarie’s advice to younger WCE athletes: “Don’t be afraid to be you. Be loud, have energy, have fun, that’s what volleyball is about, and White Cross knows how to prioritize that.”
From Ellamarie: “ Thank you White Cross for giving me the means and the environment to fall in love with volleyball. The coaches and community created the best experiences of my life, and I am endlessly grateful for White Cross. Especially Coach David for always believing in me and giving me amazing opportunities!”
Thank you, Ellamarie, for your dedication, energy, hard work, and love/ loyalty for volleyball ( and our WCE family)! We are excited for your next chapter and can’t wait to see you succeed in all you choose to do!
