🚨Hat Giveaway🚨

Peyton Craig racing is doing a hat giveaway and it only takes two steps to win! All you have to do is like the post and share it on your page and you will be entered in a random wheel spin. There are three hats to choose from so that mean theres three winners. First winner has first choice of either Richardson hat, or one of the PCR flat bills. Big plans for 2027! And they are starting now, this past week ive been taking off the body panels to replace them for 2027. Yesterday we had our crew come out and we pulled the engine out of the car and put it in the bed off the truck. Today we are driving 3 hours north to Wisconsin to drop the motor of to our engine builder tirys to get a refresh on the motor for next year. Thanks to all the crew that came out yesterday to rip this motor out.

This past Sunday was our last race of our rookie year racing asphalt cars in the Mid-Am class at Grundy County Speedway. It also happened to be the biggest race we have entered to date, racing with the Mid Am Racing Series. There was a bunch of fast cars and we needed to qualify or race our way into the main show. Unfortunately, as much as we tried and Peyton driving to his best ability, we didn’t make it in to the main show. Peyton said enjoyed racing in the last chance qualifier race but ultimately came up one position short.

This season was always meant to be a learning season for the team and for Peyton to get comfortable in the car. Peyton did better at driving than I did at understanding car setup. Our motor was a little tired too which didn’t help things.

We raced more races than we originally planned on and that’s really because of all of our sponsors and supporters! We are very grateful and appreciative to everyone who sponsored, helped in the pits (and the garage), those who purchased merch, and those who came out to watch Peyton race! Thank you!!!

We have big goals going into 2027 season as we start transitioning into tear down and rebuild for next season. Stay tuned!

Race day!

Postponed till next Sunday see you guys next week!

This weekend’s 65th Annual Bettenhausen Memorial weekend will see racing tonight Friday September 18th but is postponing the Saturday portion of the event to next weekend.

With an undesirable forecast for Saturday and the Sunday rain date, Grundy County Speedway along with the ASA Midwest Tour and Mid Am Racing Series has made the decision to postpone the Saturday portion of the weekend to next Sunday September 27th with an afternoon program. There will be an optional open practice on Saturday September 26th from Noon to 5pm. The full schedule of events for the 27th will be available soon.

Tonight’s racing program is still on as scheduled featuring the Big 8 Series Late Models, D’Arcy Motors NASCAR Street Stocks, Village Realty NASCAR Pure Stocks, Action Truck Parts Crown Vics and Super Cups with Gates opening at 5pm and Racing action getting underway at 7:30pm.
