🎓Graduate Spotlight🎓
Today, Shelby, a Personal Training Graduate, shares her story:
“In 2020 my husband found himself in heart failure and it was time for me, after 22 years of being at home, to increase my education in case I found myself raising our five kids alone. I enrolled in Life Time Academy, had a FANTASTIC experience over the course of the eight-week program, and obtained my NASM Personal Trainer Certification in January of 2021.
"I was hired at Life Time as a Personal Trainer and began my full-time career. While working with so many clients who had past injuries or muscle imbalances, I realized quickly how useful the NASM Corrective Exercise Specialty Certification would be in order to better serve my clients. I enrolled in the Life Time Academy course for the CES and passed the test in November of 2021. Spending a year and a half in the field and obtaining two certifications with so much credibility in our field has been just incredible. It's amazing to look back on myself a year ago, so nervous and afraid of the unknown, and now confident as a trainer at the highest level attainable in our club. My husband's health is greatly improved, and I love connecting with my clients every day. I have also recently been promoted to Personal Training Leader 2 at my Club. I couldn't have done it on my own and I'm so grateful to LTA for assisting me along the way!"
