Goat Camp Day 2! 🐐

We started the day in the saddle playing Red Light, Green Light using our real stoplight. 🚦🐴

After riding, campers painted wooden goat magnets and got creative before lunch.

The afternoon was all about dairy goats! A big thank you to Gravy for being our patient teacher as campers learned all about milking goats. Everyone got a chance to try hand milking and watch the milking machine in action.

Then it was time to practice for the obstacle course challenge with our goats. Campers continued working with their chosen goats and building their teamwork skills before wrapping up the day with a fun game of Goat Fact or Fiction.

Another great day of goats, horses, learning, and plenty of laughs! We can't believe we're already halfway through Goat Camp. 🐐❤️🐴

Goat Camp Day 1! 🐐
We dodged the rain… almost. 😅

We started the day visiting the goat pasture, then met the goats we'll be using for the obstacle course challenge. Campers got a chance to try goat yoga before picking their goats and beginning obstacle training.

By then, the rain had officially found us, so we headed to the barn and learned about horse grooming and the different grooming tools.

After lunch, campers split into two groups. One group saddled up for a fun game of Beep Beep while the other group tie-dyed their camp shirts. Then the groups switched so everyone got a chance to do both activities.

Not a bad first day for Goat Camp—goats, horses, tie-dye, and just enough rain to keep things interesting! We can't wait to see what Day 2 brings. 🐐🐴🌈☔

Getting set up for Goat Camp that starts tomorrow! 🐐
Campers, get a good night's sleep and eat a hearty breakfast—we have a busy day planned!

Don't forget: 🐐 Lunch 🐐 Water bottle (lots of water!) 🐐 Boots 🐐 Clothes that can get dirty

Parents, please be sure to read the camp information email that was sent a few weeks ago. It contains lots of helpful information to make your camper's week a success, plus the link to the required waiver. If you haven't completed the waiver yet, please do so before camp tomorrow.

We can't wait to see everyone for a week full of goats, horses, farm fun, and adventures!

Farm Discovery Camp Days 3 & 4!

Day 3 was all about goats! Campers practiced the Challenge Box Course on their horses in preparation for the camper show, and then we made goat milk soap. After lunch, we learned all about milking goats—both by hand and by machine. Everyone got a chance to milk our very patient doe, Gravy! We finished the day by making forage enrichment boxes and delivering them to the goats.

Day 4 began with the Great Goat Escape! Six goats had escaped (thankfully stuffed goats, not real ones) and were hidden all over the farm. Campers had to work together to solve puzzles, crack clues, and answer trivia from everything they learned this week to find and corral all six escapees. Their reward? GOAT medals, of course!

The afternoon wrapped up with our end-of-week camper show. Families got to meet the goats, chicks, bunny, and horses before cheering on campers as they completed the Challenge Box Course on horseback. If you couldn't make it, the show was streamed live on Facebook.

What a week! We packed horses, goats, chickens, bunnies, plants, science experiments, crafts, games, and plenty of farm fun into four days. We couldn't have asked for a better group of campers for our very first Farm Discovery Camp.

Next up: Goat Camp! 🐐☀️🐴
