Meet Scout. ❤️

Scout is six years old and has autism. She is nonverbal and has significant support needs, but according to her mom, she's taught their family more about joy, resilience, and determination than they ever imagined.

After Scout's diagnosis, running became something special they could do together. It became their mommy-and-daughter time.

While many activities aren't accessible for Scout, running is different. Out on the course there are no expectations, just the wind on her face, the excitement of race day, and the simple joy of being together.

Her mom shared something that really stayed with us:

"Race day means inclusion. It means Scout gets to cross the same finish line as everyone else and experience the excitement, cheers, and sense of accomplishment that every athlete deserves."

This October, Scout will be celebrating her 7th birthday by joining us at AZ48. We couldn't be more excited to welcome them both!

Every runner has a story. This is one we're honored to share. 💙
