More pictures from the Spurlock Sundays Warrior Within event. I had brought in a number of "artifacts" (*cough* *cough* weapons) for people to check out from Kali, Silat, Baguazhang and more. A local BJJ group after the presentation asked if I would go over some of the stuff I was demonstrating from Kali which was incredibly cool of them and it so awesome to hear that this was one of the better attended events! I was really grateful for those folks who came to the event and was blown away by the level of engagement overall. As I told my wife when I took the audience through some Baguazhang movements I teach in the Health Within program the nightmare fuel that kept me up the night before was that no one would care or participate. Yet everyone in the room joined in. I was really left pleasantly surprised and couldn't thank those that came to the event enough.

Had a blast today giving the Warrior Within presentation at Spurlock Museum for their Spurlock Sunday event. It was such a blast explaining my Martial Arts journey in that type of environment and the evolution of how I viewed training from my beginnings of my teenage years to where I am at now in my 50s. I was so thrilled at the level of engagement with those who attended and I will be forever grateful to Jeffrey and my beautiful better half Marie for making it possible to share something so meaningful to me with others. I'm grateful to Marie and my student Justin Duncan for playing uke for me. It can really suck sometimes to be on the receiving end of some of the material so I am always grateful to have such awesome training partners. Lot of love to our Harimau Merah Thaddeus and Dillon for showing off some of the Silat Jurus. They did amazing! I can't thank everyone enough who showed up. It truly meant a lot to me.
