We are sad to hear of a great leader of the cycling community passing this week and our thoughts are with Peter’s family.

We recently learned that former Champaign Cycle owner Peter Davis has passed away. Peter was a staple at the heart of cycling in Champaign for 50+ years before passing the torch to Trek Champaign in 2024.

Peter helped thousands of future generations grow their passion for cycling in the Champaign-Urbana community and well beyond. His dedication and commitment to helping others is something hard to replicate and a value to strive for. Rest in peace Peter you will be missed.
