Happy Holidays from Krav Maga Universal!
As we are about to kick off the New Year we wanted to keep you informed of upcoming events and opportunities.
Krav Maga Universal, or KMU, is now its own stand-alone organization. We have established ourselves as an independent group so that we could keep the quality of instruction and our standards high. In doing so we have recruited some of the top KM instructors in the world to become part of the KMU Advisory Board – people with different skill sets, backgrounds and organizations but above reproach in integrity.
We are an open organization and our Mission is to provide the very best information available, period. No matter with whom you have trained or are associated with, we welcome you to try KMU for yourselves.
KMU Quality of Instruction
The Instructors available to KMU are the best the industry has to offer. Within KMU there are some of the highest ranked Krav Maga instructors in the country such as Ernie Kirk. A Krav Maga 5th degree Black Belt, Mr Kirk is also the North American representative for the Wingate Institute in Israel, the literal birthplace of Krav Maga, and he organizes the annual Wingate Trip for the USA ad Canada (as well as few European Instructors who like to tag along).
Tom Whitaker is an extremely accomplished competitive fighter and coach as well as one of the highest US Wingate Certified Instructors.
Paul Landreth-Smith worked for 18 years in Law Enforcement including work with London’s Counter Terrorist SWAT unit bringing real life tactical experience to the table.
KMU has also secured the support of Instructors on a Board of Advisors such as 2 ex-IDF Special Forces Soldiers, BJJ Champions, MMA coaches and Krav Maga Instructors from other organizations whose input is valued.

To provide the absolute best Krav Maga instruction in an intelligent, friendly and thorough manner without ego’s, politics or extraordinary costs. ‘So that (Every) One can Walk in Peace’.
We are a group of committed instructors not an organizational dictatorship.
We will not bad mouth any person or organization, but we will comment on Principles and Technique.

Ernie Kirk and Tom Whitaker were tasked with conducting and grading a group of Israelis for their Krav Maga practical instructor entry exam at Wingate Institute in Israel, the birthplace of Krav Maga and the National Institute for Sport. We graded their ability to perform basic-advanced Krav Maga techniques, making sure all Krav Maga principles were followed.
This group will go through a month of daily instructor training from morning till evening.
Seriously, what a blast and honor it is to be administering a Krav Maga Instructor entry exam in Israel to Israelis! And congratulations to my buddy Tom Whitaker for helping me out.

Wednesday night I'll be teaching at Krav Maga Normal in Illinois hosted by Bill Martin

Friday I am teaching seminars for Tom Whitaker in Collinsville Illinois
Saturday and Sunday i will be Teaching Knife/Counter-Knife class at Holland International Airport in
McLean. The address for the class location is:

Directions: From the McLean, IL Exit off Interstate 55: Go east
from McLean to the Waynesville Road (County Road 150 North). Turn
south and you'll see the airplane hangar buildings and fuel tanks
within a half-mile or so. You'll turn east (left) and head down a
long drive. Watch for aircraft before you cross the runway.

We'll kick off around 0830am. Lunch will be 1230-1pm. Class will probably run until
about 5:30 or 6pm.
