🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from us at Tuttle Lake Bait!

We hope everyone has a fun day with family, friends, and plenty of time on the water, whether you’re fishing, swimming, or just enjoying the lake. We’d also like to thank all active duty military members and veterans who have served our country. We truly appreciate your service and sacrifice.

We also wanted to let everyone know that we are currently sold out of worms. From the very beginning, we knew we wanted to offer bait we felt good about, and that means sticking with fresh quality. We’ll have more worms back in stock on Thursday. In the meantime, we still have plenty of leeches and minnows available.

A long weekend in Otter Tail County was just what we needed. We spent one of our afternoons fishing Lake Ethel and caught plenty of bluegills, pumpkinseed, and bass. It was pretty cool being able to watch the fish come right up to our bait with how clear the water was.

We also stopped at a few different bait shops while we were there, which was fun to see. It’s always interesting seeing how other shops are set up and getting ideas we could bring back to Tuttle Lake Bait.

Where’s your favorite place to take a fishing trip? We’d love to check out some new spots. 🎣

Some of the best fishing memories start with Dad. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandpas, and father figures who pass their love for fishing down to the next generation, tell the best fish stories, and make days on the water special.

📍 Looking for a quiet weekend by the lake?

The Tuttle Lake Recreation Area is a great place to spend a few hours, a full day, or even the weekend outdoors. Whether you’re bringing a camper or tent, launching the boat, or spending time fishing from shore, there’s plenty to enjoy.

The park is maintained by Emmet County Conservation and is located on the southwest side of the lake.

We’re only about 7 minutes from the campground, so stop by and grab bait before heading out. 🎣
