💫One of our favorite concepts from CrossFit is the Sickness-Wellness-Fitness Continuum.

🤔Most people think the goal is to avoid getting sick. CrossFit challenges us to think bigger. Health exists on a spectrum, with sickness on one end, wellness in the middle, and fitness on the other. While wellness means you’re functioning and getting through life just fine, fitness is about building capacity - more strength, more energy, more resilience, and more capability for whatever life throws your way.

💪Every workout, every right nutritious choice, every walk, and every good night’s sleep is a step in that direction.

🤯The fitter we become, the greater our buffer against injury, illness, and the inevitable challenges that come with aging.

⚡️Two years ago today, the two of us took a leap of faith, wrote a check, took a gamble and became the proud owners of CrossFit Sentry.

We had a vision of creating more than a place to work out. We wanted to build a place where people could grow stronger, find support, realize that CrossFit is accessible to ANY BODY and truly belong.

Over the last two years, we’ve celebrated PRs, big wins and small wins, welcomed new athletes, watched friendships form, cheered each other through victories, and stood beside each other through some really hard seasons of life. We’ve learned that this place is about so much more than barbells, workouts, and whiteboards.

🫶It’s about our people.

We’ve made big mistakes, learned hard lessons, worked long hours, worried more than we’d like to admit, and poured our hearts into creating a place where people feel seen, challenged, accomplished, supported, and cared for.

Every early morning, every late night, every cleaned mess, every email, every class coached, and every decision made has been worth it because of the people who walk through these doors.

Our 6 week CrossFit Teens Summer Program is designed for teens ages 14–16 who want to get stronger, move better, build confidence, and have fun doing it.

Whether your teen plays sports, wants to improve their fitness, or simply needs a positive outlet this summer, this program will teach them how to train safely, work hard, and develop habits that carry far beyond the gym.

📅 June 22 – July 30
🗓 Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays

Every year we’re reminded that Murph is so much more than a workout. People of all fitness levels show up, work hard no matter the version, encourage each other, and choose to do something hard together in honor of those who gave everything.

⭐️My CrossFit Journey
I started CrossFit in 2013 after years of globo-gym resistance training, and the results were so different I couldn’t ignore it. I loved digging into the research and the methodology, and eventually the gym owner asked me to become a coach. Sharing that passion and watching it genuinely help people turned out to be even more rewarding than the training itself. What I didn’t expect was the community — and how much it would matter. Spending time at CrossFit Sentry made an incredible positive impact on my mental wellness, and I am so grateful to have found a second family and a home away from home here.

⭐️What I Care About as a Coach
My coaching style is geared towards helping members with movement quality, building strong foundations, aiming for longevity, and making our gym feel genuinely welcoming to all.

My favorite movements personally revolve around skill development and precision — the long-game payoff of finally nailing a handstand, a beautiful sn**ch, or a rope climb. Anything that rewards patience and practice. Least Favorite: Thrusters. Hands down. Also long-form indoor cardio.

⭐️Outside the Gym
I’m a mom, and I’ve been a professional dog trainer for over 20 years — it’s the other language I speak fluently. I love sunshine, hiking with my dog, wildlife & nature, plants and animals, music, stretching, and the warm, clear ocean whenever I can get to it. I love to read and learn, and I cook healthy meals from scratch for the family most nights.

CrossFit has a way of exposing the parts of us that want to quit when things get uncomfortable. The burning lungs. The heavy legs. The doubt. The urge to slow down or stop altogether.

But over time, you learn something powerful: discomfort isn’t an emergency. It’s not something to fear or avoid. It’s something you can move through and embrace.

That lesson carries far beyond the gym walls. Into motherhood, careers, relationships, hard seasons, and everyday life.

Little by little, you realize you’re capable of handling more than you once believed.

Tonight it begins.

Kaiden is taking on the Adaptive CrossFit Games Semifinals in the Upper Adaptive 2-Point division! He will be competing against some of the best adaptive athletes in the world over the next several days as workouts are completed and submitted online through Monday.

The cost?

The trainings after a long day at work. The adjustments. The setbacks. The discipline to keep showing up anyway. Kaiden redefines what toughness looks like, and he continues to prove that limitations don’t get the final word.

We’re proud of the way he represents resilience, humility, grit, and the spirit of CrossFit every single day he walks into the gym.

Almost a month after the hosted by and we’re still shining with pride for this crew.

19 Sentry athletes stepped onto the competition floor on April 18th. 9 of them for the very first time!

We had athletes facing nerves, trying new things, learning how to fitness and compete under pressure, cheering louder for teammates than themselves, and representing this community exactly how we hoped they would.

3 teams and 1 individual found their way onto the podium, but the bigger win was seeing athletes take a chance on themselves and realize they’re capable of more than they thought.

Competition days are fun, but moments like this are also a reminder of what training together consistently can build….confidence, resilience, friendships, and people willing to show up for each other.

We are so proud of every single one of you! And thankful to everyone who came out to support, cheer, and make the day what it was…we do not forget the ones who come to support!

Motherhood asks you to carry the weight of the world… physically, mentally, emotionally.

At CrossFit Sentry, we believe training is building the strength, resilience, stamina, confidence, and support system needed for real life, especially motherhood.

For the moms carrying babies, raising kids of all ages, rebuilding themselves, balancing everything, sacrificing quietly, and still finding time to train:
