We’re grateful that our Day School has secured janitorial services, BUT NOW we are searching for the right cleaning crew to care for our worship spaces and fellowship buildings!

In the meantime, everybody can do their share! Let's pick up after ourselves. Let's leave a space better than we found it! We can lend a hand tidying up after an event, or even volunteer through the front office by picking a time/date/area to tidy up! This is OUR campus, and caring for it is one small way we care for one another!

🛠️ Blackwater Center for Community Enrichment Renovation Update

We’re excited to share another progress update from the Community Center kitchen renovation! ❤️

The existing wall materials have been successfully removed, and the exposed areas have been thoroughly vacuumed and cleaned. Most of the preparation for the new materials is now complete!

💡 Our next step: installing temporary lighting so there will be enough illumination to safely install the new ceiling and wall panels.

Once the lighting is in place and the work area is ready, we’ll begin scheduling volunteers to assist with additional projects throughout the kitchen. 🙌🏻

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported this renovation through prayers, encouragement, donations, and service. Every completed step brings us closer to a renewed space where our church and community can gather, serve, grow, and experience the love of Christ together. ❤️

We can’t wait to keep sharing the progress with you as the Blackwater Center for Community Enrichment continues to take shape!

Sundays Are for Sharing Scripture

“Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.”
Romans 13:8 NRSVUE

Love is the one debt we will never finish paying. It is more than a feeling or something we speak about on Sunday morning. Christian love shows up, serves, listens, welcomes, and helps carry the burdens of others.

As I continue answering God’s call toward becoming a deacon, I am learning more deeply that ministry happens wherever the needs of the world meet the love of Christ. That is also the heart of the Blackwater Center for Community Enrichment. It is more than a building. It is a place where neighbors can gather, gifts can be shared, needs can be met, and God’s love can become visible within our community.

May we never owe one another bitterness, judgment, or indifference. May the only debt remaining between us be the sacred responsibility to keep loving one another.
