To all my Central family,
When my brother and I started this we talked a lot about what our goal was, to inspire fitness and change lives. The heartfelt sentiments and prayers are proof of what we were able to accomplish in this time together. I know this chapter is coming to a close but I believe it is a chapter of hope and happiness not dispare. We have truly made something special. I’ll admit the cheesy “Family” we would say at the end of every session rang more true with each passing day! Through the military I have traveled and made many friends and family, and I have been so blessed to be able to call all of you my family!
My ancestral roots have always been down here in the south and just like everyone in Central they always come back home! I hope the impact I had on your lives was as big as the impact that all of you had on mine! Y’all are inspiring! The people of Louisiana may have been the reason my brother and I opened our doors here, but it’s the people of Central, that have made this place into a home! I can’t begin to thank you enough for being apart of what we tried to do here! As this chapter closes and life moves forward I will do my best to stay in touch, because “people will walk in and out of our lives but True friends will leave their footprints in your heart” and you have made a huge impact in my life and seeing how we have all come together as a family leaves me with a smile on my heart!

Hopes And prayers🙏🏼
Sore today strong tomorrow

Winning isn’t always easy.

That’s one of the reasons why people enjoy watching sports. 🏈 ⛳ ⚾

The season is a grind.

It’s a reminder that there is something to be gained from learning to love the struggle.

It’s also why people are so captivated by a good movie with an even better villain.

We want the hero to win, but winning isn’t always easy.

We learn to love the hero's struggle, and when they finally defeat the villain, success is that much sweeter.🫣🙌

The hard part? Keeping your emotions in check along the way, controlling your thoughts, reactions, and ability to stay focused when things aren’t going your way.

As Tim Grover states in his book "Winning,"

“Winners do not make emotional decisions—they make strategic ones. Winning isn't always clean or pretty. You’ll face criticism, self-doubt, fear, and still have to show up and perform.”
In other words, the struggle is real sometimes, but learning to embrace the struggle means choosing to grow.💪🪴
Choosing to grow means you keep trying because, eventually, you will have a breakthrough, and that breakthrough will be worth it.
Chasing that next win and overcoming challenges will show you that there is always another level to reach or something new to learn.
Many top athletes stay at their best because they are lifelong learners, and they know there is always more to learn, and through this learning, they remain humble.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed today, remember that you’re not alone.
Try to make the best of the situation, and take the opportunity to learn from it and find ways to appreciate the journey. 🙏

Winning is never final; this is one of the many reasons why people often abandon their goals.
Once you reach your goal and the celebrations are over, winning resets the scoreboard, and you're back at square one.
Depending on how long it took to accomplish that previous goal, starting something new can either be exciting or intimidating, especially if the last project took “F-O-R-E-V-E-R”.😮‍💨
It’s common to think that once you achieve your goal, you’ll somehow “arrive,” and you can finally announce, “I made it!”🥳
And that might be true, but only for a short period.
Eventually, you'll feel the urge to tackle whatever comes next.
As Tim Grover states in his book "Winning:"
"You don’t arrive. You just keep showing up, again and again."
When you consistently show up, you build and strengthen your discipline, so when the time comes to move your project or goal from the “to-do list” to the “done list,” you’ll be ready to start whatever is next.
Starting over from square one shouldn’t feel as intimidating because you’ll understand that winning is never permanent.
Each win serves as a stepping stone.🧱
Every completed project or achieved goal is just another milestone, helping you to gain further momentum.
❌ There are no shortcuts or easy wins.
✅ It’s the focused and intentional effort you put in that will ultimately lead you to your next success.
When winning resets the score, it’s not game over; it’s game on.👏 👊

Non-Negotiables.
You may have heard the term "non-negotiables" before and already know what they mean for you.
Essentially:
☝️ They’re your musts, not your maybes.
✌️ They’re the things you do consistently, even when it’s hard, inconvenient, or unpopular.
In his book "Winning," Tim Grover explains how the athletes he worked with, including Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, developed mental toughness and resilience to maintain peak performance year after year. They faced intense competition and relentless pressure from those who wanted to see them fail.
To remain relevant and resilient, they had to establish non-negotiable standards for their training, ensuring that their expectations for themselves were higher than what others expected of them.
👉 “You must be ruthless with your standards. Not with others—with yourself.”

In simpler terms, and less intense than Grover might suggest, it’s essential to establish non-negotiables regarding your goals and habits..
You have things you want to accomplish, so don’t ignore them or push them off for another day.
👍 You don’t have to do everything at once; just focus on “the one thing” that will bring you closer to your goals, and do it today.
Non-negotiables help you establish value around what’s important to you.
When you dedicate time to your non-negotiables, you:
Create a focused environment where you can effectively work on tasks.
Get done what needs to be done.
Reaffirm that your goals are worth the investment of your time.
So, what are you prioritizing and making time for today?

If you know Tim Grover and have read his books, you’ll know he speaks directly and to the point. Some people may not like his intense style, but many find it motivating.

Though his approach is straightforward, there is a lot to learn from the ideas he presents.

Here are two good examples:

1️⃣ “Mistakes aren’t fatal, but excuses are.”

You are allowed to make mistakes; everyone makes them. Mistakes arise from taking action and trying new things, not from sitting back, overthinking, and waiting for the right moment.

You are also allowed to make excuses, and everyone does at some point or another for various reasons. However, the key difference is that excuses prevent you from taking action. They allow you to opt out instead of trying.

While you cannot learn from making excuses, you can learn a great deal from making mistakes.

Mistakes can make you better, excuses can’t, and won’t.

2️⃣ “Winning doesn’t care how hard you worked—just whether or not you finished.”

This one might sting a bit, and you might sum it up as a “hard truth” for a reason.🐝

It can be tough to accept that, regardless of how hard you worked, if you have a goal, deadline, or desired outcome, what truly matters at times is simply whether or not you completed what you set out to do.

Winning isn’t just about winning a game or beating an opponent, even though that can be true in sports.

Winning means overcoming your excuses and showing up to do what you said you would do.

Winning is about not giving in to resistance—that force that always seems to come up when you try to do your best work, especially when you’re chasing your goals and dreams.🧟

Winning wants to know:

Are you making mistakes or excuses?🤔
