Looking back at this past year, we are completely blown away by the incredible growth from every single one of our dancers. From the very first day of classes to the final curtain call, you all poured your hearts into the studio, and it showed on that stage.

To our amazing dance families: thank you. Thank you for your endless support, the quick changes, the hallway cheers, and for choosing us to be the home for your student’s dance journey. We love our dance family so much! 💕

☀️ Exciting Summer Opportunity: Journey Dance Connection Workshop! ☀️

We are absolutely thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for dancers to keep moving, growing, and learning this summer—right here at our studio!

Journey Dance Connection is currently traveling to studios across the country hosting elite dance workshops, and they have offered us an exclusive date to host them on Friday, July 10th from 4:00 PM – 8:30 PM!

This is an amazing chance for dancers to learn from traveling professionals, experience new teaching styles, and push their training to the next level.

📋 The Details:
Date: Friday, July 10th
Time: 4:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Who: Open to all of our studio dancers, as well as the local dance community!
Workshop Rate: $150

Wow, what an incredible week we had at the Dance Out Nationals in St. Petersburg, Florida! ☀️🌴
We are so proud of every single one of our dancers for putting out their best this week. The countless hours of hard work, dedication, and commitment have really paid off! We are coming home with several amazing placements, adjudications, and awards, but most importantly, memories that will last a lifetime. ✨
Thank you to our amazing families for making Nationals in Florida possible, and we hope everyone has safe travels home!

Last night was so special! We wrapped up our final full team practice and celebrated our amazing dancers with their end-of-the-year awards before heading to St. Petersburg for nationals! ☀️

We are just so proud of every single dancer on the JDD Dance competition team. Seeing your hard work, dedication, and beautiful growth this season has been an absolute joy. We can’t wait to watch you shine on the national stage and make memories that will last a lifetime! ✨🩵

Recital 2026 is officially in the books and our hearts are so full after a great weekend! ✨ We are so incredibly proud of every single dancer! Watching their growth over the past year has been nothing short of amazing. From our tiniest dancers making us smile to our graduating seniors leaving it all on the stage, every single performer was shining in their element. All the late nights and hard work completely pay off the moment we see them smile and do what they love.

It’s recital day! The stage is set, the costumes are ready, and our dancers are shining bright! ✨ Today is our big annual recital, and we are overflowing with pride and joy reflecting on everyone’s hard work over the past year.

✨ Recital weekend is officially underway! ✨
Last night’s leotard rehearsal was an absolute success. We are incredibly proud of our dancers for working so hard throughout the evening to prepare for the big stage. We loved watching our dancers support each other backstage. It was a great reminder of why we say, “it’s so much more than dance”!

Tonight, we take it up a notch with Dress Rehearsal! We can’t wait to see all the dedication, passion, and hard work our dancers have poured into this season finally come to life in full costume.

⚠️ Important Reminders for Tonight:
Chaperones: Dancers are permitted a guardian backstage/in the dressing room to help with costume changes tonight.
Audience: All other family and friends, please save your energy for the big show! Recital is tomorrow (Saturday) night at 4:00 PM.

Our final graduating senior! ✨

Elyse Stachler is graduating from Alter High School this year. During her time at Alter, she was a member of the National Honor Society, earned Honor Roll recognition all four years, and participated in a variety of clubs and activities. She also played lacrosse and was a member of the Lancerette Dance Team for four years. Elyse had the honor of serving as Head Captain during the 2025–2026 season, leading the team through football, basketball (college and NBA), soccer, and baseball seasons.
In the fall, Elyse will attend Ohio University, where she plans to major in Interior Architecture and minor in either Business or Dance. She has danced at JDD for 14 years and has trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Lyrical. Her favorite styles are Contemporary and Hip Hop.
Dance has been a central part of Elyse’s life for as long as she can remember. She has grown up in the studio and has been inspired by many incredible teachers along the way. These teachers not only helped her become a stronger dancer, but also a better person. JDD has taught Elyse how to dance with “heart and determination,” and she will carry that same heart and determination with her throughout everything she does in the future.

Our next senior spotlight! ✨

At 18 years old, Ava Ralston graduated Cum Laude from Centerville High School. This fall, she plans to attend Sinclair Community College to earn her associate degree before transferring to Wright State University to continue studying health science with the goal of becoming a physical therapist.
Ava has danced at JDD for 15 years and competed for 13 years. Throughout her time at the studio, she has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, hip hop, modern, contemporary, and lyrical. Her favorite styles are contemporary and jazz.
Dance has been an important part of Ava’s life, and JDD has given her countless memories, friendships, and experiences that she will always cherish. Over the years, dance has helped her grow in confidence, leadership, and discipline while teaching her valuable life skills that she will carry with her into the future. Ava is incredibly grateful for all of the teachers and teammates who have supported and inspired her throughout her journey at JDD.
