Olympic weightlifting is filled with stories of resilience, mental toughness, and perseverance. One of these is about Zlaten Vanev, a 77kg weightlifter from Bulgaria who dislocated his elbow twice. The first time was before he set a world record in the clean and jerk. The second time was after winning the World Weightlifting Championships, which made him miss the 2000 Olympics.
