π BPAGD Summer Travel Challenge Series β Week 4 Results π
Week 4 of the BPAGD Summer Travel Challenge Series brought another outstanding night of competition as we visited Bowl 10 Fairborn. Once again, the bowlers delivered tremendous performances on a challenging pattern, with exciting championship matches and impressive scoring throughout the field.
On the boys side, Isaiah Durflinger captured his second consecutive championship with an outstanding run through the bracket. After qualifying second, Isaiah defeated Jacob Gettinger (237-224), Lucas Galpin (218-214), and top qualifier Miles Gordon in an outstanding final. Miles fired an impressive 245, but Isaiah answered with a spectacular 288, throwing the front 10 strikes to earn the victory. It marked Isaiah's second straight title.
Miles Gordon paced the boys' qualifying round with a strong 670 series to earn the top seed heading into match play.
The girls division saw Brooklyn Barnett break through for her first championship of the summer after leading qualifying for the second consecutive week. Brooklyn posted an outstanding 627 qualifying series before defeating Abby Lewis 214-191 in the championship match.
A special congratulations also goes to Abby Lewis, who made an impressive run from the #3 seed to the finals with games of 244 and 225 before finishing as runner-up.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Jay Rapp and the entire staff at Bowl 10 Fairborn for their hospitality and for providing everything we needed to make another successful event. We truly appreciate your support of youth bowling.
The series now heads to Victory Lanes in Springfield next Wednesday, July 1, where competitors will face the challenging 2021 Junior Gold Final Advancers oil pattern. With only a handful of events remaining and the best eight of nine weeks counting toward the season standings, every game and every point becomes even more important. It's also not too late to come out as bowling just three events will earn them SMART scholarship awards from series points.
Congratulations to all of this week's champions and we look forward to seeing everyone next Wednesday at Victory Lanes!
