Congratulations to Rylan Halverson who represented team Iowa at 88 pounds at the 16U Freestyle Duals in Farmington Utah this weekend. Rylan had a great showing, going 5-2 on the weekend against the top wrestlers across the nation and helping team Iowa secure 6th place in the gold bracket. Way to go Rylan! Susie N Mark Halverson

CHS senior, Ava Allen, was recognized for her outstanding academic achievement as part of the 2026 Iowa Governor’s Scholar Program. Students across Iowa were honored during the annual Governor’s Scholar Recognition Ceremony held Sunday, April 26 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines.

Congratulations to Rylan Halverson and Dylan Whisler competing at the Iowa Freeystyle and Greco State Championships this weekend. Rylan won the 16U 88lb. bracket in freestyle and will represent Team Iowa at the Fargo National Championships in July. Dylan got second in the 14U 140lb. bracket in freestyle and second in the 14U 140lb. bracket in Greco. Way to compete and represent CHS wrestling proudly!
