Hope everyone has enjoyed the recent balmy weather, but the temps will begin to plummet. However, area bowlers tend to thrive in the colder weather, so look out for some fine scoring this week as we flip the switch to 2026!
Here's what to watch this week!
🎟️Monday, Dec 29
The BHS Classic, hosted by Bellefontaine, will be held at TP Lanes. The Coldwater boys and Bellefontaine girls are the reigning champs.
Hillsboro looks to continue both teams' undefeated seasons with a non-conference match with Unioto at Highland Lanes at 10am.
Greenon boys (5-1, 3-0 OHC) and girls (6-0, 3-0) look to keep their OHC records spotless as they host West Liberty-Salem at Bowl 10.

It's been a couple years, but Fairmont and Troy renew their non-conference slate at Poelking Woodman at 4pm. Fairmont boys have won the last 7 matchups (9-3 all-time); whereas Troy has won the last 5 girls' contests (10-2 all-time).
Urbana and Graham meet up in a CBC cross-divisional showdown at Southwest Bowl. Urbana boys snapped a 7-game losing skid to Graham last season, This year's Falcons are third in the league in scoring and are led by junior Logan Pitsinger, who is averaging 214.7. The girls teams are fairly similar, record-wise, as Graham (4-3) has won 7 of the 8 matchups against Urbana (5-4). After starting the year 0-4, the Lady Hillclimbers have reeled off 5 straight wins with the return of senior Emily Fisher (182.9 avg) to the lineup.
Shawnee boys play host to North Union at Victory Lanes. The Braves (8-0) are off to their best start to a season in team history and have four players averaging over 200 led by seniors Dorian Green (207.9) and Craig Ruf (208.5).
Undefeated Celina girls (9-0) hosts Lincolnview at Plaza Lanes led by junior Chloe Bruce (188.3 avg).
🎟️Friday, Jan 2
The Northwestern boys and Greenon girls look to repeat as champions in the Clark County Tournament at Victory Lanes. A lot of talent at this tournament and there could be another 30K milestone moment that comes out of this event. 😉
🎟️Saturday, Jan 3
The 13th Annual Back to School Bash is the first tournament of the new year and the girls event will be on Saturday at Rollhouse Fairfield. The boys event will be on Sunday.
Other tournaments include the LeElla Baker Bash in Washington Court House and the Buckeye Challenge at HP Lanes in Columbus.
The Midwest Athletic Conference travels to Plaza Lanes in Celina. The boys and girls of Coldwater, Fort Recovery and Versailles all stand undefeated in the conference. The only battle of undefeateds on Saturday comes as the Fort Recovery boys (7-0, 3-0 MAC) take on St. Henry (4-2, 3-0), which only has a boys team. Fort Recovery beat St. Henry early in the season by 40 pins in a match that didn't count against the conference tally.
