Ole mother Fork hasn't been very nice to us so far this week but we have made the best of it with good fellowship and some good vittles. Crappie fest kicks off this morning and we are scrapping everything we have done this week and just going fishing.

Grandpa wanted a few fresh crappie filets so that gave me and excuse to go again but these darn ditch pickles kept popping up on my screen.

Toledo Bend timber has done a number on my jig arsenal the last few weeks. Fishcatchindaddy’s just restocked me 👀. If you can't get bit on one of these you need to quit fishing.

50 more headed back home with Brandon Schilling The weatherman lied today but we still smoked em pretty quick.

You can't catch em sitting at the house. Toledo was a little angry today but them crappie didn't care. It took a little longer today because of that little breeze but Brandon Schilling took him home a cooler full. Fishcatchindaddy’s Tawba and Pinky were the ticket. Fish are still glued to the bottom but they are there and they are hungry. Go get em. I even sent him home with a new 12' Dobyns Rods JJ crappie rod and two bags of Chef Rande' Products, LLC fish fry.

Toledo Bend has been on 🔥 this week. Find a tree right on the break of the river and they will be at the base of it. We also caught the biggest "mohawk" I have seen. It weighed 1.80 lbs. Shad colored Fishcatchindaddy’s jigs were the preferred method. As always, no minners were harmed. Freezer filling season is here. Go get em!

Another good numbers day on big Sam. Quality was a little better but not good enough. We caught em shakin a minner, jerkbait, arig, jig, Shakey head, and squarebill. Missing them speckled fish already but we are trying to get dialed in for the SETX Highschool season.

It's been awhile. We caught around 50 bass today various ways from 2 to 20 feet. Nothing big but not bad for a couple rusty crappie fisherman. We caught black bass, Kentucky bass, sand bass,catfish, crappie, and a goo and we saw a pretty big gator walking around on the bank.

One last crappie smashing trip for me before I switch gears back to bass fishing for the SETX season. John and smoked em and sent a cooler full back to Louisiana with a friend. Now to get the crappie slime cleaned off this boat and swap out gear.
