Your coaches are Coach Javier Aponte and Coach Donald Fox. Both men have been coaches at CrossFit Kryptonite for several years. Their focus for their athletes has always been proper technique and movements during our workouts.

WE DON'T SKIP LEG DAY !

Today was all about leg pump! Front squats @70% was our strength followed by a simple couple of ascending row calories and goblet squat sets.

Front squats build strong legs and core.
Rows strengthen your back and improve posture.
Goblet squats lock in proper form and control.

Simple. Effective. Strong from head to toe.

EVERYBODY LOVES BENCH DAY! 💪🏻

The bench press is a simple way to build strength safely when it’s coached and done with good form.

• Builds upper-body strength (chest, shoulders, triceps)
• Improves sports performance (football, basketball, wrestling, etc.)
• Teaches proper lifting technique and body control
• Increases confidence in the gym
• Helps develop healthy muscle as they grow
• Strengthens joints when progressed correctly

Focus on form first, weight second — that’s where the real progress happens.

The temps crept up but these teens kept their cool. Kept it light with a 3 person workout of rowing , assault bike, and burpee box get overs. 2 people worked, 1 person rested. The fans were blasting and suddenly the assault bike was their best friend.

👊🏻to these athletes . Yesterday was uncomfortable. But we learn how to be comfortable in these conditions at Teen Fit Club .

Another year in the books! Working with our local teens is one of the best things we get to do . Every year we see kids come in and test themselves . They learn, they grow, hit some PRs , move, better, build body awareness, build confidence, get fit, do things they never thought they'd do and the list goes on and on.

Our goal to build fit , confident, and resilient kids continues. We'd like to thank all parents and athletes that have come through our doors no matter how long you've stayed . We hope to see you all again and new faces too!

These videos are a couple of years apart starting with RF's first ever back squat to last night's squat work . More confidence and self assurance in the gym has been built over the years. Along with that better movement and more strength .

That's the product of putting in time and doing hard things.

Tonight’s Workout: “Scrooge”
Named because athletes won’t feel happy doing it — but they’ll come out stronger.

Just a little monkeying around in class. Instead of a strength session, we worked on some basic gymnastics skills of wall walks and rope climbs.

Rope Climbs: We talked about and practiced Z clamps and J hooks. Worked on what was comfortable and getting used to body position and trying to stand..

Wall Walks: We practiced getting upside down using a box or going up the wall. We talked about tight tummies, pressing our palms through the floor, and looking at the wall as we "walked" back.

It was a lot of fun switching it up to some skill last night .
