Team and pre team

Please do your best to get in 50% of your monthly tuition.

I realize days have changed and this is difficult as we wait for transition. I still need to pay a considerable amount of back rent and the month of May to the landlord, plus payroll for those that have been coming and training to move with us.

Two families have paid and if they paid full price, I will try and get them their percentage back.

We will operate 5-7 tonight and tomorrow giving us almost full practice hours for most outside of one week in May where only Thursday was an option.

If anyone is around and willing, on Saturday morning I will be trying to get the entire gym moved to storage and this includes things to heavy for me to move alone. I also do not have for sure security on who will be helping put the wall back up. I basically know how, but Sheetrock is too heavy and high up for me to do that and tackle separating things in storage so I can still have the option to sell good equipment after move out date.

I haven’t heard from the community center yet, outside of all of my paperwork being completed -

Friends and families!

We are still working on the transition to the community center.

During the summer months, we do not yet know how recreational classes will look.

I have two options. You can reach out on this post and I’ll connect you with our boosters club and we will add your child to our preteam group for the summer months. We will Seperate according to our coaches and the child’s age and level until we have a recreational plan combining with the community center. OR you can register your child through the community Ed gymnastics program and they will maybe have us coaching, maybe not. We just do not know yet how that part of the merge looks, but are allowing us to start early for competitive purposes because our lower level meet season is already upon us -

Jungle gymnastics cares about each one of the students and families that have graced us in the 4 years we have been open. We are also practicing pre team and team from 5-7 (5-6) for pre team or pre team age groups on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until the transition. You can bring your child in recreational groups to these practices and pay cash or via Venmo an amount that we agree upon. These are limited practices so probably $10-15 dollars a practice for the hour or $20-25 for 2 hrs. We will combine your children with the pre team and team children.

If there is a parent willing to have me Venmo the to pick up a case of water for the gym that intends on bringing their child tonight, please let me know! Also, please help me cheering Emma on with Ellie’s assistance - as Emma will be making her own lesson plan tonight for the first time!! Huge success in my mind!!!

For all Recreational classes, Easter Monday is listed as a night closed in the description. Team! Yes the gym closes when Rec is closed unless it’s open for special circumstances!

Happy Easter and enjoy your Easter Monday off as well!!! Please pass the info if you can!

The gym will be cancelled tonight.

Please come for team practice at 5:00 next week to help make up, or reach out if you would like to join in Wednesday class next week.

I do not have a windshield wiper motor and last night, the visibility was really bad.

Hello friends, families and gymnasts!

Jungle Gymnastics is in transition! I’ve known for quite some time that the gym was not making ends meet. I’ve had to process that and make a lot of decisions- do things I did not want to do.

There is a lot of talk that people are leaving because I’m not present and that families pay for my coaching.

Statistics. Owners that also run the business are not typically successful. Example: I own the gym, I shouldn’t be the head coach. The goal is to train someone to 85% of my capabilities.

*I have not got paid in 4 years- I work outside of the gym to pay for the gym.
* I’m spent - to the core from trying to be both the owner and the coach
Can I run a business? YES
Can I coach ? YES

BOTH? No

I feel like a failure because the build wasn’t working, no matter what angle I worked. Yes, I traversed every feasible option and I had more support than I can ever thank people for but THANK YOU.

More talk is that it’s best for me to be a head coach. - BUT, I’ve been a head coach. I opened a gym for a reason. Intentional.

I am very good at the way in which I coach because it fills a full picture. My gymnasts don’t have high rates of dropping at higher levels because the focus is on team building (with families too) and on a fun dynamic that creates success later on. It is a whole picture, it is not one aspect. I’m very sad that families are leaving - that the trust isn’t present. I’ve made the choice to be a head coach again, because, inevitably, I always do what’s best for the children. Always. I had other plans that were set in stone. I am giving up some of my dreams to give the community and your gymnasts what they need. And yes, I’m very very good at what I do.

I am truly sorry if my lack of attendance has been met with lack of trust in the process. The supervisors that I utilize are also on journeys of growth and their positions are prominent for their futures. I do what’s best for the children - all of the time. There is no exception or boundary that can be crossed that Presebts a different outcome from me and there never has been or will be. Jungle Gymnastics will close its doors in a couple months- but many of our families, all of our staff and some new faces, and me- we will be transitioning to the community center to build together in a space that can provide everything. I am excited for this new path now that it is upon us and I hope that all of you will join in this transition and join in the positive atmosphere and the success that a strong community can bring when they join forces! The community center and I align to a T with what we want to bring to the children and their families. We want to support our neurodivergent athletes and feed gymnasts into a strong HighSchool team. We get to do this journey together!! Feel the joy and remember to thank those that brought us here!

That is… all of you- the community center - families, gymnasts, staff - go go go chisago lakes community!
