This favorite photo from last fall was not staged, but was caught of me “in action” doing what I love to do. This upcoming sports season I should cross another milestone, 3500 games! I’m a little over 200 games away right now, but it will be here before I know it!!!

I look at this image captured by photographer extraordinaire, Steve Booker last Friday night & it takes me back to my childhood. THIS is exactly what I dreamed about doing then & for 11 years now I’ve gotten to live my dream! Weather permitting, sometime in the next 2-3 weeks I’ll cross the 3,000 game milestone! As long as I’m permitted & I’m able to do this, there will be many more games to come! God has blessed me so much!!!

Back in May, I was killing some time at the Ninnekah Valero before the grand opening of the new Owls Nest.

To my surprise Walter Lada came in the door to make a pit stop and buy a a pop on his way to Chickasha.

It was like seeing a long lost friend! I had worked with Walter and his wife Alicia at the Duncan Youth Football games for several years and we enjoyed a quick conversation about those fun days.

Naturally we had to have a store employee take a photo of us!

As he was leaving the store, Walter said his signature phrase to me he’s said since I first met him in 2020, “You’re the man Lance, you’re the man!”

I’m so grateful for people like Walter who every time they see you, they still treat you like family!!! See you in the fall Walter!!!

Another favorite photo from last fall. It was great seeing Daylin again after announcing her several times during her high school career against Cyril and Ninnekah ⚾

What I’ve learned over the years is this: even the athletes I don’t announce very often still seem to appreciate what “Lance the Voice” does. Daylin was no exception — she was very kind and appreciative.

And for the record… her first entry on the Wall of Fame was May 1, 2025 🏆🔥

Athletes who haven’t experienced “Lance the Voice” are surprised when I walk up and say,
“Hey, I need to get your picture for the Home Run Wall of Fame.” 😂🔥

And just like Brynlea, they generally end up smiling and appreciating the recognition 🏆⚾

This is another one of my favorite photos from this past announcing season — moments like this are why I love doing what I do.

Congratulations to Brynlea Jackson from Granite on hitting a Center Fence Home Run in the 4th inning on Tuesday against Ninnekah! Brynlea is our second entry in this fall’s class on the “Wall of Fame.”

The hit was in question for about a half second, but it cleared the fence by several feet, making it a “Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Boom Home Run!!!”

I was told Brynlea spent a lot of the summer practicing on hitting, & it paid off for her!!!

Congratulations Brynlea and welcome to the elite group of hitters who have made “Lance the Voice’s Home Run Wall of Fame!” Hopefully we’ll see you again down the road!!!

I’m making this post in honor of my mother‑in‑law, Ann Alsobrook, who passed away 11 years ago today.

If there’s a Taco Mayo in heaven, I can almost guarantee Ann’s there right now… eating tacos, tacos, and more tacos 🌮❤️

I miss you, Ann.
Until we meet again.

Last September 8th was a special night for me — and I really appreciated the Cyril JH Pirates and Coaches Bruce Harrell & Larry Milligan for celebrating it with me!!! 🏴‍☠️💙

Some moments stick with you a little longer than others, and that one sure did. Thanks again, Pirates, for making it a night I won’t forget.
