After losing her 26-year-old son, Sandie Nina and her family began placing painted rocks at his gravesite while waiting for his headstone to arrive. Soon, more rocks began appearing.

Without telling her, fellow nurse and friend Bianca Villalona had started leaving them there herself, often stopping by after overnight shifts before Sandie arrived.

Each rock became a small reminder that her family was not alone.

Sometimes the moments people remember most are the simple ways someone showed up when it mattered most.
