A lot of hard work over the last 2 years is startling to pay off.
The work these girls have put in and continue to do is outstanding.
The chemistry with every single player is as high as any team I've coached in 20 years.
They believe in themselves more than they ever have and they are ready!!
It's been a long, long time since Kennedy started the season in the Top 10 and this is a result of every ounce of sweat, tears, bruises, smiles, happiness, and excitement they have had over the last 2 seasons.

Cougar Nation

Our Fundraiser kicked off yesterday and we are off to a great start so far.

If you would like to support the Kennedy Volleyball program, click on the link below.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation for your support of the Kennedy volleyball program. Our fundraiser campaign helps support the goals of our program. Dedication and commitment are required to meet the demands of our athletes. There is no doubt that Kennedy volleyball is a rising program with a bright future.
The goals we hope to accomplish as players, coaches, and a program require vision, commitment, and resources. Our goal is to raise enough money to help us pay for things like extra equipment, our player’s uniforms and gear, team activities, and extra travel experiences. The support of parents, friends, and the Kennedy community helps us to reach these goals! This supporting cast is a critical part of the success of our program.

Freshman are currently wearing jerseys that are 10-15 years old
Sophomores are wearing hand-me-down jerseys
We have worn balls from 2018-2022 and we literally have a ball from 2006 (we will keep that one forever).

We have been able to buy equipment and new balls and jerseys (for varsity) last year and this year we were able to outfit JV in the New Jerseys that Varsity wears. But we still need more as we don't get a budget for this from the district.
This summer we sent Varsity to 4 playing camp tournaments (Creighton, Pella, PrepDig, and the Iowa Coaches Girls Association tournament)
For the first time we were able to send JV to 2 camps (Creighton and PrepDig) and Sophomores to 2 camps (Wartburg and MtVernon). There are more opportunities next summer and we would like to send freshman somewhere.
District vans will cost the program starting next year so travel costs will be higher.
We provide lunch boxes through Firehouse Subs for all players on all teams on travel matches.

Any amount you donate to our program helps us somewhere.

Our entire team would like to personally thank everyone for supporting us and we hope you are able to see us play throughout the upcoming season!

Why is Suffering is critical to an athlete's success...

"The physical and mental suffering of working really hard towards your goals will be immensely hard but unless your life's goal is to be a victim, suffering is a friend that helps you grow. When you do hard things that will make you suffer, you realize you're stronger and more capable than you thought. And thus you grow.
When you try to avoid suffering you suffer even more because you then live in the purgatory of believing you're far less than who and what you really are."
