🎯 New SASP Coaches Certified!
This past weekend, a group of dedicated volunteers completed their final field day for the SSSF Basic Action Shooting Coach Certification. A big thank you to the Iowa DNR for facilitating the hands-on range day and helping expand coaching capacity for SASP Iowa Action Shooting!
These newly certified coaches are now ready to safely lead and inspire the next generation of young athletes in pistol and r***e disciplines.

For three days this week the Iowa DNR, coaches from Gilbert and Morovia as well as Iowa SCTP board members traveled to a youth Shooting Sports Conference hosted by the MidwayUSA Foundation midwayusafoundation

The conference brought together coaches, team leaders, industry partners, state and national organizations, and conservation professionals for three days and focused on growing youth shooting sports. We gained valuable insights on maximizing team funding through the endowment model, connecting with sponsors and R3 leaders, attending expert breakout sessions, and networking with partners from across the country.
Huge thank you to the MidwayUSA Foundation for hosting this outstanding event and for their continued support of Iowa’s youth shooting teams. Iowa ranks among the top states in MidwayUSA Foundation funding, and opportunities like this help us keep that momentum going for our athletes, coaches, and programs.
Excited to bring new ideas and connections back home to strengthen Iowa SCTP!
