Mount Mercy University Dance Team The MMU Dance Team is a team of motivated individuals who dedicate their time and energy to enriching student life at Mount Mercy University.

The team is comprised of young women from a variety of majors, but all team members have a background in dance and a love for dancing. MMU dance is a multifaceted squad through which members not only perform at all home basketball games, but they practice on a regular basis, travel to competitions, participate in service activities, and fundraise vigorously throughout the year. There are performin

g members and nonperforming members that assist the squad in accomplishing all its tasks, and both types of members have the desire to spread Mustang spirit throughout the Mount Mercy campus through dance.

That time of year has come again! DANCE TEAM TRYOUTS! Jaynah Wright and Anna Hurley are the captains for this year, so if you have any questions regarding dance team or even school questions, their ears are open! (Their information is at the bottom of the post.)

If you would like to tryout, tryouts will be September 12th from 8am-12pm in the Hennesey Recreation center (aka the gym). We will ask you guys to learn a short routine and demonstrate technical skills (jumps, turns, etc.).

After the tryouts, we will be having team bonding that night to get everyone acquainted with each other and do some fun activities! It'll be hosted at Anna's house, which is right around the corner from MMU. Expect to have some fun! So with that be said, try and have your evening cleared going into tryouts.

Another thing, would you also be able to have your schedules for the fall semester? We would like to get a rough draft of a practice schedule done ASAP. Please include any other sports practices or school conflicts. Unfortunately, work is not an excused absence.
