A few years ago, I left corporate America to go all-in on my yoga studio. I said yes to uncertainty because I believed in the vision, and it paid off. I launched my Yoga Teacher Training program, built strategic partnerships, and secured corporate wellness contracts.
But something was still missing. I have 15+ years of experience in education and DEIB work, and I knew that part of me wasnât done yet.
So I made a decision: I would only go back to corporate if the role let me bridge my professional expertise with my passion for yoga. Not one or the other. Both.
I was specific in what I prayed for: the kind of impact I wanted to make, the kind of work that would let me show up fully.
A year ago, I accepted a role as Program Manager for Learning & Development at Yoga Alliance. And I still get to run my studio.
This is what it looks like when you are clear in your prayers, and have faith. Grateful doesnât even begin to cover it.
