DREAM is a martial arts and nature school serving Montclair and the surrounding areas. Our approach to teaching embraces self-discovery, self-improvement and physical conditioning while building resilience, creativity and a love for the natural world. Our martial arts work utilizes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as a base art, but incorporates a variety of forms including Judo, boxing, karate and hapkido. We

train our students in practical techniques for real world situations and teach them about the responsibility that comes with that knowledge. Our nature arts and camp programs include plant identification, animal tracking, hiking, wilderness exploration and conservation as core elements, and is led by trained wilderness and survival experts. Mindfulness is imbued in the entire curriculum and an important training modality for concentration, learning and stress reduction.

Emilio and Canela have a few updates for you. 🐾✨

Canela is finally back on her paws, fully recovered and full of energy. And with that good news, we wanted to share what’s been happening with Dream Martial Arts here in El Salvador.

Emilio continues teaching at Arte Suave, Professor Miguel Torres’ Jiu-Jitsu academy — the place to train when you’re in El Salvador.
And something beautiful has begun: a new project in Zaragoza, where we’re teaching children who’ve had very few opportunities but endless heart. Sharing the art that has given so much back to us feels like planting seeds that we know will grow.

Stay tuned — there’s more coming, more stories, more work, more light.
