HOW THE CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM WORKS
Kart racers from GSR Kartway and Little Buckaroo Jr Motorsports Park operated by Little Buckaroo Karting can draft a "Big Track" driver as a teammate for the program. The combined team score will determine the finishing order for the 2026 program. Each kart racer and their Hero will submit their feature event finishes from August 1st through the Shawano Fair race on September 5th. The top four feature finishes for each kart racer will be combined with the top four feature finishes of their Hero driver to determine their team's overall score. The team with the lowest combined score will be crowned the Hero Program Champions.
For example, if a kart racer's top four finishes are 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, and their Hero's top four finishes are 1st, 1st, 3rd, and 4th, the team's total score would be 22 points (1+3+4+5+1+1+3+4). The lowest possible team score is 8 points.
To be eligible for the championship, both the kart racer and Hero must compete in a minimum of four feature events during the program period. Any non-MyRacePass captured results will need to be submitted to [email protected]. If either team member does not complete four feature events, they will be assigned 25 points each for the missed events.
In the event of a tie, the team with the better average finishing position over the course of the program will be declared the winner.
Kart feature finishes at both GSR Kartway and Little Buckaroo Jr. Motorsports Park are eligible for the program. Hero feature finishes at any Wisconsin dirt or asphalt track are eligible.
In addition to the championship standings, Hero Teams will have opportunities throughout the month to earn entries into special prize drawings. Teams are encouraged to attend one another's race events, participate in Hero Program photo opportunities, take team photos together, and support each other both on and off the track.
These additional participation incentives will not affect the official championship standings but are intended to promote mentorship, sportsmanship, and lasting memories between kart racers and their Heroes. Additional activities and prize opportunities may be announced throughout the month of August at the discretion of The Hero Program committee.
Trophies will be awarded to a minimum of the top three teams for the season. A championship photo opportunity will be provided for the winning team at GSR Kartway during the month of September. All participants will receive a Hero Program decal to display on their race vehicle during the program.
