Cazenovia Rowing Club

Cazenovia Rowing Club The club provides adult rowers of all levels of experience the opportunity to try out or continue to enjoy the sport of rowing.

CRC is proud to have introduced the lifetime sport of rowing to a broad range of people within our community. We offer coached programs designed to address the rowing needs of novice to master rowers. CRC is a non-profit organization, a member of the United States Rowing Association (USRA), and dedicated to providing rowing opportunities to any member of the community who is interested in rowing.

The CRC operates within the oversight of the Town of Cazenovia and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historical Preservation – Central Region. A copy of the Town of Cazenovia’s Resolution for the Use of a Portion of Gypsy Bay Park is supplied annually to the CRC membership.

Our coached novice master program was fantastic this year, and we are so pleased with all of our new members! Our recreational program is going well, and those of us moving on to racing are very excited with our progress! The masters are getting some coaching for the first time in several years by our own Jennifer Moffat and we are very excited about that! We got an 8+ into the Head of the Charles this year, and we couldn't be more excited! Whether we volunteer or race, we all love going to Boston for the HOCR!!! The CRC is growing, and better than ever!

Rowing is serious.... serious FUN, serious EXERCISE, serious FRIENDSHIPS. And a serious sense of accomplishment and pride in doing something you've always wanted to try, but weren't sure you could. YOU CAN!!! And we will help. Coached sessions during the summer will bring you to participating in racing, for those who want to add that to their bucket list! Give it a shot - the Learn to Row is free. Wear tight-fitting clothing and Crocs or sneakers, and bring a hat, water bottle, sun screen, and a FRIEND!
