Does this handle tip when loaded behind the boat? Yes. Every handle tips to some extent when unevenly loaded. If you’re the kind of skier that frequently brings their hands together where both hands are shifted to one side then your traditional handle is tipped. This one is no different. If you grab one side at the center and the other out at the end it will tip. While I have done this on occasion, it’s never caused an issue down course.
Personally I bring my hands in so they are tight against the bridle in the center. I find it easier to evenly space my hands on this handle than the traditional handle thanks to this central reference point. And the bonus is there are no ropes in the pathway as I’m grabbing! I’m not saying I’ve never miss-grabbed this handle, but they were reduced to only a couple times over all last year.

Even though we won’t be skiing for a few more months in NY, I surprised my daughters with a new handle for Christmas. They skied on one of my original prototypes towards the end of their 2023 season but this specific design has smaller, softer grips that I think will be perfect for their age and level of skiing.
