Dear Pima Pistol Club Community,

As we get close to the end of the year, I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for your continued support. You are the cornerstone of the Club, and your support allows us to maintain and grow this treasured asset to our community. Thank you for making our range not just a facility, but a trusted gathering place for responsible gun owners to enjoy our 2nd Amendment rights together.

Pima Pistol Club is committed to fostering a welcoming environment to our patrons. As we are a public range, we welcome all law-abiding gun owners and have worked hard to establish our reputation as the premier outdoor shooting venue in Southern Arizona.

Since the beginning of the year, our Board of Directors, working closely with our dedicated Staff, has worked to strengthen our vision to welcome every responsible gun owner and attract all types of shooters—from casual gun owners and hunters to competitors and defensive practitioners.

Here are some of the proactive things we have done:

- Protecting Youth Programs: We acted promptly to switch from an insurance provider that imposed undue restrictions on youth participation. We’ve also worked with the Straight Shooters youth group so they could remain at the club until 6:30PM for practice sessions. We are committed to developing the next generation of responsible gun owners who will continue to preserve the 2nd Amendment.

- Expanding Range Utility and Access: Significant improvements have been made to our member ranges, including the addition of steel targets on Ranges 1 and 2, and the conversion of several pistol-only ranges to accommodate both pistol and rifle shooting. We have removed artificial limits on Ranges 6 and 8, ensuring these facilities, previously restricted to competitive shooters, are now open and accessible to all members.

- Improving Club Culture: We actively cultivated a positive range culture that ensures our patrons are treated with respect and courtesy. To maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, we also formally integrated a clear Code of Conduct into our Range Rules.

- Removing Unnecessary Restrictions: Following a thorough safety assessment, we critically reviewed our range rules and removed key restrictions that hindered member enjoyment.

Ultimately, we believe the best way to increase inclusion from the gun owning community is to make tangible improvements that attract gun owners, and remove unreasonable barriers that push gun owners away.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to sincerely thank you for trusting us to be the stewards of this Club and the 2nd Amendment. If you have any questions, please contact us using the form at the bottom of our website’s home page. We will see you out at the range!

Sincerely,

Jeff Shi
President, Pima Pistol Club
