Ask a Trainer Part 1: How do I use a cable seated row?

First up is the cable seated row on our new cable machine. It’s one of those moves that looks straightforward but makes a big difference when you do it right. You’re pulling the cable toward your lower abdomen and driving your elbows back… the goal is to feel it in your mid back, not your arms. If your shoulders are creeping up toward your ears you’re letting your arms take over. Think about keeping your shoulders down and squeezing your shoulder blades together at the end of each rep.
